I’m writing a simple app, that will exatract all the frame from some given video, in my macbook pro it works PROPERLY (a little slow… but i think it is my disk fault ). But when I ported all the code under windows (and it compile correctly) the video (the same video i used in my mac) does NOT work anymore.
I found that the wmv was not supported from the video player (is there any way to make it supported?).
Can some one suggest me a solution?
The code is simple, just grab the img and save it… (for future analysis).
I cannot change the format… (it require A LOT of time…).
I dont have any other program actually that do it on windows, if someone have any rapid solution… (and legal), I’ll sure be very very thankfull!!
If you don´t need to make an application, you can use Blender (www.blender.org) to open the WMV file on its sequencer and export as a sequence of frames.
I’ve never used the sequencer before, for now I’ve got the import of the wmv video…
But I cannot find the system to export the sequence out of the video…
(ok this seems to be totally out of topic… :P, but if you have the answer please send me a pm or answer here… TNX!!)
You should try using ffmpeg to convert it to whatever you want.
The official ffmpeg site only has svn releases (http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/) but you can get a windows version from a number of sites such as http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ffmpeg
Try using a video player such as VLC (www.videolan.org/vlc/) to see if you can play it under windows. If you can, then you should be able to use ffmpeg to convert the file.
TNX a lot! (I discovered a lot of tools that I’ve never seen before, in the end I done part using AVANTI and Virtualdub).
Ok I convert the question in… (more in topic)
Wich kind of video i can play (and use) under windows?
I finally converted (just to try) a video in MOV format but… does not seems to work anyway…
