what happens to Z in ofImage class?


I was playing with the class ofImage and ofTexture to make a skybox with 6 sides (Textures) but I see the class ofImage only get x and y parameters. What happens to z? is not Z necessary?

Is it possible the realization of a skybox using ofImage? or better I use glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D) and glTexCoord2f and glVertex3f for the realization of skybox.

ofTexture is meant for basic 2D texturing. If you want to make something specific like a skybox, you will need to use straight OpenGL…
