What about a common depth camera wrapper?

So, after receiving a structure sensor I’ve been struggling with utilizing addons that have been written for kinect. I’ve come to the conclusion that implementing a “ofxDepthSensor” class that kinect, structure, leap and openni can subclass, would be ideal. Furthermore, it could have a “loader” class that automagically loads an available depth sensor implementation, simplifying redistributable apps.

Thoughts?

(I need to make a bridge and/or abstraction like this for a project I’m working on for a client so I will begin development, but interested in your suggestions and input. I’ve only worked with the original kinect for xbox and now the structure sensor)

I also had an structure sensor, i remember that i was able to get the depth with nite2 i think.

Does structure has an c++ sdk, last time i look it only has an objetive c
