UniBrain Fire-I no Videostream with OFv0.06 [Windows]

Hi everybody,

i have a UniBrain Fire-I BBW 1.3 and i can’t get a pic from it with OFv0.06.
It worked with OFv0.05 and videoInput0.1991.

One of the messages videoInput give me is: “Couldn’t find preview pin using SmartTree”. But then it says also “Device is setup and ready to capture”.

Is there anybody who has the same problem like me?
Is there a work around?

Complete output:

Does the demo app in http://muonics.net/school/spring05/vide-…-0.1995.zip

Also not work for you?

Does it work fine in AmCap?
Does it currently work fine in 0.05?

Thanks!
Theo

Thanks for the reply theo.

I haven’t tested the demo app yet. But on Monday I will give it a try.

On v0.05 it worked. But what is AmCap?

Thanks

Edit: sorry, but I can’t test it before thursday, because I’m abroad.

Ok. Now i have tested the demo app of videoinput and it works.
Only with OFv0.06 the cam won’t work.

I’m currently debugging ofVideoGrabber and hope i find something.

And here my test Code:

testApp.h (Added)

ofVideoGrabber* vidGrabber;

//---------------
testApp.cpp (Changed)

testApp::testApp(){
vidGrabber = new ofVideoGrabber();
}

testApp::~testApp(){
vidGrabber->close();
delete vidGrabber;
}

testApp::setup(){
vidGrabber->setDevice(0);
vidGrabber->initGrabber(640,480);
}

testApp::update(){
vidGrabber->update();
}

testApp::draw(){
vidGrabber->draw(0,0);
}

I have nothing else changed on the ofxOpenCV example.

thx

Edit: It seems so that the cam freeze with OFv0.06. But i can’t detect why.

Edit2: Now i have compared ofVideoGrabber from OFv0.06 and OFv0.05, and there are no difference for Windows. So i don’t get it, why it won’t work.

Edit3: Problem solved!! It was the same that in this Thread -> http://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/ofvideograbber-blackout-only-when-not-debugging-in-msvs/2372/0

Edit4: Bad news. It works only sometimes. So it is harder to find the problem.
