im just downloading OF now, i come from a processing background, and i was wondering if it’s possible to save an image frame as a png with a transparent background. is that possible with OF? in processing i use the pdf export as a sort of workaround. is there an OF equivalent?

hi, yep. openframeworks being quite a low-level framework, anything that is possible, is pretty much possible with openframeworks. You can render your scene to an FBO and save that. more info here http://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/saveimage-plus-alpha/1145/0
