has anybody tried to integrate some swf movie into of?
I’m thinking of a GUI, developed in Flash and integration into of. The swf file should communicate with the ExternalInterface to the c++ host-application.
I know there is a commercial software http://www.f-in-box.com wich makes it possible to integrate swf into c++ programs.
Are there other approaches or opensource developments?( apart from some Quicktime hacks)
I am also looking for a way to implement .swfs
I don’t need to communicate with the .swf but merely draw it or some other kind of video with an alpha channel.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Are you using FLV formatted videos? If not, you could just load any other formatted video and use RGBA http://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/ofvideoplayer-and-gl-rgba/364/0
I know that Quicktime for OSX 10.6 can play FLV and gstreamer can too == edit, see below.
totem is just the plugin for the web browser, well indeed gnome’s media player, gstreamer plays flv and even swf (whitout interaction) without problem by installing the ffmpeg plugins: just an apt-get in linux
Ah, nice to know it’s that easy then I didn’t realize it would play SWF, that’s really awesome. I’ll have to play around with that.
