setting ofSetBackgroundAuto(false) kills the program

Hey guys,

I have a bunch of particles that I have flying across the screen, and I wanted to draw a continues line from the origin as they’re moving. The best way I know to do this is to just draw a line between the previous and current position every frame.

When I look through the docs, the most intuitive way to stop the background from filling with black every frame would be to call ofSetBackgroundAuto(false) in setup(), but when I do all drawing ceases to happen. I’ve tried dropping it in update() and draw() to no avail.
