Run AutoSmiley app with OF 0.8 and xCode 5.0.2

Hi guys,
this is my first topic here and my first steps with OF. I found the amazing AutoSmiley project (http://fffff.at/auto-smiley/) and I was trying to run it on my machine (OSX 10.9, xCode 5.0.2 and OF 0.8).
But when trying to run it, the following error pops up:

The run destination My Mac 64–bit is not valid for Running the scheme ‘AutoSmiley’.
The scheme ‘AutoSmiley’ contains no buildables that can be built for the SDKs supported by the run destination My Mac 64–bit. Make sure your targets all specify SDKs that are supported by this version of Xcode.

What should I do to proceed? I’ve seen it the app running, but I’m curious about having a look at the code and tinkering a bit with it.

Any help is really appreciated

Hi, about a month ago I was checking out that project and I also could not get it to compile, however, I was able to get the text output working on the compiled binary. So, you can capture that if you are looking to at least use the smile detection. You’ll want to be looking for the keyboard input of

And one more thing, if you take a look at the smile detection work done for processing: http://www.magicandlove.com/blog/2011/05/04/smile-detection-in-processing-mac-osx/ you’ll find a working, compileable project. I know you’re using openframeworks, but maybe you could create an OSC channel and push the smiles to your oF app?

Thank you for pointing me to the Processing version, I just tested it and looks interesting, even if not so accurate. However, let’s see if someone can help us with the OF version

Any luck getting this running with OF 0.8 ?

allright got it working, follow this thread Xcode + open frameworks Build Error on auto-smiley
