I can’t figure out why this is happening. I am pulling doing a loadImage() trying to pull in twitter avatars. Most of the time it works. Sometimes it does not. I am using this image as a test: http://a0.twimg.com/profile-images/2269522758/ThatFleeGuy-normal.jpg
Put it in the browser and you will see it. But, when I do this:
I get a EXC_BAD_ACCESS error.
Does anyone have an idea why this would happen?
Could you post the code that’s causing the problem?
If you download the .jpg and stick it in your project directory, does it load OK with loadImage()?
It’s the function call loadImage() and that specific url. You can use the imageLoaderExample that comes OF 007 when you download it to test it.
I have tried downloading the image and placing it in the project. Same failed outcome.
I couldn’t at all figure this out but, I came up with a solution to work around it. I basically use ofxCinder and do loadImage the Cinder way and set those pixels to an ofImage that I then draw. It all seems to work out this way.
