there are some problems with the new ubuntu version they are all fixed in github, will release a package soon, till then you can download the package from github:

http://github.com/openframeworks/openFr-…-ves/master

the problems are:

  • video isn’t shown properly. this is because latest gstreamer defaults to 32bit while OF is using 24bit
  • GLU needed in makefiles, codeblocks projects are ok

I’m a begginer with OpenFrameworks and with opengl, im trying to add an ofvideoplayer and I get vertical lines red, green and blue and overlapped images, so this problem is because gstreamer uses 34bits and OF 24bits??

can I change gstreamer default to 24bits to get the video properly??

Thanks, this fixed an issue where the vid grabber seemed to be giving me BGR instead of RGB.
