Porting from mac to raspberry pi

I have an open framworks video player that some one made for me.
it plays videos on key button presses. is there anyway to change it from a mac to a raspberry pi.

Hello,

Yes. I think this should be straightforward if you have the source code. All you’d need is to recompile this source for your Raspberry.

First you’d need to download and configure the most recent version of oF for the Raspberry Pi:
http://openframeworks.cc/download/
http://openframeworks.cc/setup/raspberrypi/

Make sure everything is running by trying out a few examples.

The last step would be to modify an empty example (in your oF for Raspberry Pi) to include your original source.

That should do the trick!

I have never used open frame works before is there a good way to get started.

You should be able to find lots of resources here:

Regards,

I down loaded the git hub package, and the project generator folder was missing.
so I am a bit stuck.

If you are a beginner I recommend you to use the “stable” releases rather than the github version.
Download the appropiate one from http://openframeworks.cc/download/

Just for your info, the github version contains the code and stuff for all of OF’s supported platforms, but all the libraries are not built and you need to download using some scripts. the project generator is a git submodule, for which you need to install several stuff to be able to compile it and use it. The releases have all these already done and nicely packaged for your OS of choice, including the project generator.
