planar shadow projection


I’m working on a project where i need to project simple shadows onto a plane from 2D objects. I’m using ofxFBOTexture to render 2d images on screen, and want to cast shadows on a virtual wall/plane behind the objects.

I’ve checked the threads, and tried following a few c++ dev tutorials ( but I think this might be overkill and i’m a little out of my depth.

Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to tackle planar shadow projection in openframeworks?
