wondering what happened to this discussion… and what is the status of ofxPCL?
In case you are still interested, pcl 1.8 fixes this issue. Eigen moved sqrt, cos and sin to somewhere else. I couldn’t figure out where. Anyway, fyi, I’ve git cloned pcl 1.8 and successfully build it on osx.
Otherwise, other developers claim replacing the calls with std::sqrt or pcl::sqrt and so on also works. I haven’t tried thought.
Did you managed to implement one of those example?
It would be a nice feature to be able to use PCL to align / register point clouds or mesh together.

I am not sure from the two example template-alignment or pairwise-incremental-registration which one would be the best to use in realtime with kinect?
I will try if I can manage to get one of them working.
