Hey

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on controlling a camera during daylight hours outdoors.

Really all i need automated is the exposure. I find that the background of an image is really nice with good colours but the foreground eg. the user, will be black. I dont really care about the background. Just need to see the user.

Has anyone had any experience with cameras outdoors?

what is happening is that the camera is averaging the scene and because the background is so bright it compensates with the exposure.

With your controls you should be able to turn off auto exposure to find a good average manually (or add a fill light to adjust the foreground)
