In an app I’m working on I’m running into some performance issues when drawing lots of polygons. Currently everything is being drawn with the standard oFBeginShape(); ofVertex(0,0); ofEndShape(); method. Some shapes have fills some are outlines. In addition to the performance issues I’m not terribly happy with the look of noFill(); polygons, the joints are open and doesn’t create a smooth outline.
I think, thought I’m not sure, both these issues can be improved by drawing directly to openGL. If so, can you point me in the right direction to some tutorials or examples? If there’s any difference, I’m doing this for ios using v007_iPhone. Thanks in advance.
