I recently tried to load up the ofxOsc addon with the 0.06 libraries. Everything kept compiling and linking, but I kept getting a runtime error immediately upon debugging the app:
“This application has failed to start because MSVCR90.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.” (Thanks, Microsoft. I’ll give that a shot.)
I’m using MS Visual Studio 2008. The debug/output view told me this:
‘emptyExample_debug.exe’: Loaded ‘C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc90.debugcrt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.1_none_bb1f6aa1308c35eb\msvcr90d.dll’, Symbols loaded.
Anyway, I’ve been able to work around this by linking to the Release versions of the Poco libraries instead of the Debug versions:
Lame, but it gets the job done. Anyone else had this problem? (Was there some explicit instruction someplace for me to link to these libraries in the first place?) Hopefully, next time, someone will at least see this post and not get hung-up on it.
