ofxKinect verbose output

Hi,
Using the ofxKinect I get lots of output to the console in the style of

libusb:debug ...
libusb:info ...

I’ve unsuccessfully tried to shut this off using

ofxKinect::setVerbose(false);
&
freenect_set_log_level(kinectContext, FREENECT_LOG_FATAL);

There is a command which I think might solve my problem:

libusb_set_debug(libusb_context *ctx, int level);

But I might not find the correct ctx to pass to it. Also, this seems to need to be done inside freenect, which feels wrong to change code in. Does anybody know how to do this?

Thanks
/cj
