Hi , i’m new in the OF community.
I want to setup a project with ofxCv , so i clone it in the addons and added inside the of.addons in this way
and qt Creator return me this error
C:\of_v0.10.1_msys2_release\libs\openFrameworksCompiled\project\qtcreator\modules\of\of.qbs:308: warning: error: Package opencv was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `opencv.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'opencv' found
I dont know how to set this opencv.pc file in Windows 10
Can someone help me to figure it out ?
Thanks for all.
there is a problem right now with msys2 and opencv cause they are distributing opencv4 already while we still use 3.x we need to do a few changes to support opencv 4 or just pack opencv 3 for the platforms that use it from the system
not sure if in msys2 you can install a previous version of a package but installing any opencv3 should solve this temporarily
It’s so frustrating ,
i cant find a way to install opencv 3 with msys2
you can always use visual studio which works fine and it’s installation is even easier than msys2 + qtcreator. using it might be slightly more complicated but not much really
I installed vs 2017 ,
and with projectGenerator seems work
Thanks for your explanation about the conflict arturo.
Riccardo, I’m trying to solve the problem with msys. It seems I have found how to install a previous msys package:
- According to this, I have downloaded the last opencv 3 package.
- I have removed the opencv 4 package. In a msys shell:
pacman -R mingw-w64-i686-opencv
- I have installed the downloaded package:
pacman -U mingw-w64-i686-opencv-3.4.3-2-any.pkg.tar.xz
I’m now able to build the computer_vision\opencvExample
this is solved now if you use the nightly builds
Thank you. I read that, but I gave up after some researches because I was not able to find anywhere a link to the nightly build nor any informations about it ! Did I miss something ?
it’s just bellow the normal downloads in the downloads page
Yes indeed ! Thanks again arturo.
I was blocking the iframe within my browser, that’s why I missed it. Now I feel dumb
