ofSoundStream set device

This has possibly been mentioned before, but would be really great to have an ofSoundStreamSetDevice() function to choose a different device other than the default. Typically, the default sound card on a system is the crap integrated audio chip…so if you want to use anything more professional then you need to hack the core.

I think I read some mention of a future suggestion of having video devices being returned in a list that can be queried by the user ( instead of just printed out). The same for audio would be great, so that you can parse the list and find the device you want to connect to instead of hard-coding device ids.
