ofMesh with ofVbo looks different from displaying a vector with same vetices?


I was trying to replace a vector of vertices with a mesh with the same vertices (different coordinates because of randomness though) but the result looks really different.

What could be the cause of this? Are there settings I can use to make the mesh look the same as the vector of vertices?

Apparently I overlooked glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); which was making the mesh look weird. I understand it compares new pixels to already displayed ones and only views the new ones if they are less deep then the old ones.

Still it looks like the lines up front also look different from the ones not using glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); Is it just me or am I right? And if so, why?
