ofFbo readToPixels and pixel formats doubt

I’ve been porting some code to make screen trails and I have some pixel format issues (vertical sync + RGB displacement) if my FBO is not allocated in GL_RGBA.
Can I make readToPixels work using my FBO in GL_RGB format?

I’m assuming you’re on OF007 and if so, you should be able to if you’ve allocated both the FBO and ofPixels as GL_RGB. You can always check the type of texData.glType in ofTexture.cpp line 970 just to make sure you’re passing in GL_RGB not GL_RGBA. If you’re already doing that, maybe you can post up a little bit of your code and I can test it out and see what might be happening.
