OF on Windows Phone?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to use OF for apps on Windows Phone?
Have experience with this?
And if it is not yet possible, what would it take to make it possible?

No it is not currently possible. Our studio has investigated this in the past and Windows Phone runs on DirectX whereas openFrameworks used OpenGL. It would require a huge effort on the part of the community.

Maybe Microsoft could fund a port if they feel there is a reasonable ROI

I wonder if the new directX to openGL tool made by valve could facilitate this.

As they mention, getting this integrated is still a little a ways out but the MS Open Tech team has put a lot of work into making this possible.

apologies for necroposting then!

They are talking about Windows 8 Store apps and I see a WinRt branch on github.
But about Windows Phone 8 ?

From the ANGLE integration section:

“To achieve this, we typically reference the open source ANGLE project code, which MS Open Tech previously enabled on Windows Store and Windows Phone apps

So I gues it would be possible, still it might require a bit of tuning.

This is being worked on by Microsoft Open Tech and you can check their progress here: https://github.com/MSOpenTech/openFrameworks

Afaik it’s all working and ready to go.
