OF_GAME_MODE broken on Mac Retina?

Changing the mode from

ofSetupOpenGL(1024,768,OF_WINDOW);

to

ofSetupOpenGL(1024,768,OF_GAME_MODE);

seems to freeze Macbook Pro Retina machines.

I am working on a project that could use the ability to have a full screen mode where I set the resolution (instead of setFullscreen() which uses the desktop resolution.

Any suggestions on fixes or work around for this? Any help appreciated, cheers!
