Hello oF community.
I’m currently experimenting with setting the target frame rate to a non-integer value. I realize that by default oF only takes ints for framerates but I’m curious if there is something wrong with changing the input to a float to target a floating point frame rate? specifically I want to target framerates lower than 1.
I’ve gone through ofEvents and changed all the function inputs to floats and it seems to be working just fine, I’m just wondering if there was a reason that they were ints and if I’m going to see some adverse effects elsewhere.
Based on the method in ofCoreEvents can’t see where it might cause a problem except for the error check around the target rate being 0:
