nextFrame() previousFrame() seem broken in latest github repo

howdy folks,

im just whizzing through making these tutorials and one thing i have noticed is that using the nextFrame() previousFrame() is not working as it did before with video.
when a video was loaded, you could use a switch statement and set the video.nextFrame() to a key and it would work right way. that doesn’t seem to be the case right now.

this code is exactly the same for the public release to the github repo. but the github repo does not work properly. it does not allow frame skipping at all.
actually the only difference is the video.loadMovie, which is deprecated in the github repo.

is this a bug or is there something else ho do to get this working again. as in, has there been any more changes?

thanks

//--------------------------------------------------------------
void ofApp::setup(){
    video.loadMovie("drClaw.mp4");
}

//--------------------------------------------------------------
void ofApp::update(){
    video.update();
}

//--------------------------------------------------------------
void ofApp::draw(){
    video.draw(200, 200, 400, 400);
}

//--------------------------------------------------------------
void ofApp::keyPressed(int key){
    switch (key) {
        case ' ':
            video.play();
            break;

        case OF_KEY_LEFT:
            video.previousFrame();
        break;

        case OF_KEY_RIGHT:
            video.nextFrame();
        break;
    }
}

The github version uses AVFoundation behind the scenes, whereas the 0.8.4 version is using QTKit player. AVFoundation player still has quite a few problems, but it’s under active development.

ah ok. thanks for letting me know
