Loading video from webpage?

Is it possible to load the video stream from a webpage instead of a file on disk? I’ve looked around the forums and found someone else asking the same thing but haven’t found a definitive answer.

Something like myMoviePlayer.loadMovie("http://blahblahblah") instead of a quicktime in the data folder?

myMoviePlayer.loadMovie("http://blahblahblah") should actually work

Ah-ha!! createMovieFromURL(). ok. I’ll dig in and see how it works.

I works in some cases, but not others. Some it refuses to load, others it loads a single frame. I think it depends on the encoder the webcam and server are using.

I’ll keep hacking. Fun stuff!
