Library function assignment problem

The problem occurs in function loadGLResources()of ofxAssimpModelLoader.cpp .
There is this code at the end of the cpp file.
The type of meshHelper.indices[j++] is unsigned short in Android,but the type of mesh->mFaces[x].mIndices is unsigned int*.This can lead to data loss when the data is too large.
My attempt to force short to int also failed and produced more errors. How do I solve the problem of large amounts of data?
