Kinect as IR Camera

Hello everyone.

I wrote a code in OF using a webcam and modifying its parameters on the “settings()” function. I unchecked the checkbox for the Exposure, and I used it to track blobs from IR Leds. However now I am trying to do the same thing with an XBOX KINECT and I still don’t know how to detect only IR ligth. I can only use the camera to see the “depth” of a room.

Is there any way to use it for detecting just IR light?

Hi,

in ofxOpenNI you can select via #define which kinect camera to use RGB or IR.

In the example code in testApp.h uncomment line #define USE_IR
