Is the glfw limit the framerate at 60Hz?

Under some certain circumstances, I need to increase the program’s frame greater than 60Hz.

ofSetFrameRate(120);

I have tried the code sometimes, but it doesn’t work.

The framerate would be like this

120->117->115...->63->61-》59.9

SO, after read the source code of the GLFWWindow, I found it interesting that it seems the glfw limit the max frame to 60Hz, not the OpenFrameworks.

Is there any solution to it?

this is likely based on vertical sync, which locks the refresh of OF to your monitor sync. can you try ofSetVerticalSync(false) at the setup in your code?

(also, note that the frame rate is more like a speed limit. You can’t make the app go any faster than it would normally run), you can only prevent the code from going faster than the frame rate)
