Is it possible to get FFT data on a per-ofSoundPlayer basis?

hi all, i am trying to drive some animations via sound effects but as far as i can tell ofSoundGetSpectrum returns the FFT data for all currently playing ofSoundPlayers.

is it possible for me to grab the FFT from each ofSoundPlayer individually?

the context is that of a game, i am trying to design my animations on a piano instead of in photoshop.


according to the website doc ->

ofSoundGetSpectrum: Gets a frequency spectrum sample, taking all current sound players into account.

ok, oh well. i can create the animations from music offline instead… although it would have been cooler if the audience interaction controlled the audio which in turn (individually) controlled the visual animation.
