what are you up to?
Artist. Professor. Theoretician. Lots of workshops. Lots of programming. I dabble in lots of areas people here dabble in: interactivity, generativity, art installations, interfaces, robotics, etc.

what are you doing with openframeworks?
For now I’m just kicking the tires. I’m a bit busy right now, so it’ll probably be a few months before I dive in. I have been using Xcode for a long time, dating from way back when it was called ProjectBuilder and was pretty slow, so I’m also comparing that experience. I hadn’t used Xcode for at least two years – it looks a little different these days

what would you like to do with openframeworks?
Officially, to work with it in my experimental programming atelier, especially for those that want to move beyond Processing (on a case by case basis). But ultimately I’m looking for a new environment for my own work. To see if it’s a feasible environment the current plan is to try out a live video recording/playback system – mostly using OpenGL and Quicktime.

who are you?
Hi there. I’m Nattapol (Joe) Suphawong

where are you from?
I’m from Bangkok, Thailand. I was in NY for 2 years (2004-2006) taking MFADT at Parsons. Currently, I’m back to Bangkok.

what are you up to?
I’m a full-time lecturer (ABAC School of Architecture, Thailand) now and still working on computer vision, interactive installation, physical computing.

what are you doing with openframeworks?
One of the bad things that I didn’t do when I was in NY is to take all Zach’s classes, especially openframeworks and c++ related classes. However, the good thing is I did attend many Zach’s talks and openframeworks workshop at Eyebeam (with Zach, Theo, Evan) before I back. Openframeworks is one of the best projects I’ve ever seen. I’m trying to learn c++ right now. I hope it’s not too late.

**what would you like to do with openframeworks? **
I want to do the same things (interactive installation, computer vision). My problem is other applications or programming environments are not fast enough for my projects, moreover, learning c++ is difficult for me. So openframeworks is a good thing to explore.

Using it in my final project.

what would you like to do with openFrameworks?
I hope to use it to track and recognise objects. One of my origional ideas was to get the computer to play a sine wave depending on where the ball is in the video. This is really going to help develop that idea and many others.

Thanks so much for this guys, it’s really useful!
