How to set up openFrameworks on VS2012?

Hey guys, I’m new here and I have no idea how to set up openFrameworks on VS 2012.

All the guides I looked at are specific to earlier versions of Visual Studios and openFrameworks so I’m not sure.

Here are the details:

openFrameworks v0.7.4
Visual Studios 2012 (I’ve never used any version of Visual Studios before)
Windows 8

I followed this guide for setting it up:
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/135013120/Intro-To-Open-Frameworks

It wouldn’t build or compile.

Or would it be easier to just use mac instead?

openFrameworks will be compatible with VS2012 at the 8.0.0 release.
So you should use VS2010 if you want to compile oF 0.7.4.

Has there been any discussion on the timeframe for the next build?

Visual Studio 2010 is fine, but i paid for VS2012 and from prior use, i find its enhancements over 2010 to be totally invaluable, it would be a delight to use OF with 2012

Yes!

Thats great  thanks!

i love OF, until i discovered it, i just couldn’t get a handle on my own project (other frameworks try to do too much or too little)

Keep up the good work guys!
