How to get a camera pose without using a chessboard?

HI, Everyone
I’m researching about the 3d reconstruction by using a single camera
In ordinary, I know we can find a camera pose by calibrating the camera with a chessboard

My question
Nowadays ,There is another way to get a camera pose, extrinsic and intrinsic camera parameter without using a chessboard?

There are some studies here and here that use straight lines in the images to estimate the parameters, but the estimation is not going to be as good as using a chessboard. If you are working on 3D reconstruction you need a very good estimate.
