How to compile application on Ubuntu

Hello forum. I am trying to compile a program that I wrote from the terminal with the command make, but it tells me that the compiler cannot find the header of an addon that I’m using )fatal error: ofxSerial.h: No such file or directory). The application runs fine inside qt creator, I just need the binaries for someone to open the program by double clicking an icon without having to deal with an IDE. What I’m I doing wrong?

QtCreator leave a binary under bin folder. You can use that outside of ide environment.
To compile using make, the only difference should be, if you need an addon, to list explicitly in addons.make

Modifying the add-ons file did it, thanks a lot!

also qtcreator leaves the binary inside bin, in the same place as make so you don’t need to compile it with make to get an executable
