High CPU usage when getting webcam with OfVideoGrabber

I’m building a streaming dashboard. In OBS Studio when I add a video source, my 1280x720p, webcam the CPU usage is ~2%. When I use ofvideoGrabber to get the webcam the CPU usage is ~8%. Is there a better way of getting my webcam video that is more efficient and uses less of my CPU?

Main.cpp

int main( ){
	ofSetupOpenGL(1280,720,OF_WINDOW);
	ofRunApp(new ofApp());
}

ofApp.cpp

void ofApp::setup(){
	cam.setup(1280, 720);
}

//--------------------------------------------------------------
void ofApp::update(){
	cam.update();
}

//--------------------------------------------------------------
void ofApp::draw(){
	cam.draw(0, 0);
}

ofApp.h

class ofApp : public ofBaseApp{

	public:
		void setup();
		void update();
		void draw();
		void keyPressed(int key);
		void keyReleased(int key);
		void mouseMoved(int x, int y );
		void mouseDragged(int x, int y, int button);
		void mousePressed(int x, int y, int button);
		void mouseReleased(int x, int y, int button);
		void mouseEntered(int x, int y);
		void mouseExited(int x, int y);
		void windowResized(int w, int h);
		void dragEvent(ofDragInfo dragInfo);
		void gotMessage(ofMessage msg);
		ofVideoGrabber cam;
};

Ideally I would like to have the GPU deal with the webcam. Is there any way for that to happen?
