Graphics not rendering, gives error: [warning] ofGstVideoUtils: update(): ofGstV

I am running OF 8.0 + Ubuntu 13 with Code::Blocks.

Everything seemed to compile/install fine.

When I go to build a project in Code::Blocks, it will compile with no errors and the window will have text in it, but no graphics will show up in the window.

The console gives me the error:

[tt][warning] ofGstVideoUtils: update(): ofGstVideoUtils not loaded
[/tt]

Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong, or where I should look to solve this problem?

do you have a webcam? that error it’s probably because the application cannot find one. even with that the modes in which it doesn’t apply the video texture should show without problem

Interesting. Is there a way to fake or eliminate the need for a webcam?

The project I’m working on has no need for one, and I don’t have access to one.

It also seems odd that would be the case.

this is only for the 3dprimitivesExample which seems to be what you are running in the first post but in general you won’t need any camera by default.
