FullScreen Video


I’m trying to reproduce a 720p video in fullscreen (starting the application with screen resolution 1080p).

Based on the oF examples, I’m doing this:

int main(){  
ofSetupOpenGL(&window, 1280, 720, OF_GAME_MODE);  

While this horizontally resizes the movie, the height still doesn’t occupy the entire screen (there are 2 large black bands above and beneath the movie).

ofGetScreenHeight(), ofGetHeight() and ofVideoPlayer->height all return 720.

Is there any way to make the video use the entire screen region?


I think this is a graphic card problem… it happens with Unity3D applications too.
