I’m having this horrible problem, sometimes when i toggle between fullscreen and window with ofToggleFullscreen(),
the app just crash and stays on the front of all other windows, so my computer is still running but i can’t quit the app.
No matter what hot keys i use(cmd+alt+esc, etc…) I can’t quit the app, the only solution is to force the computer to shutdown.
Does anyone know how to solve this?? or know any trick to quit the application?
Am I the online with this problem??
It’s pretty annoying having to force shutdown every half an hour
Just solve the problem by using:
Not sure why!! But it also reduces the frameRate dramatically…
Can anyone explain me why does this prevent the app from crashing in fullscreen? and why does it reduces the frameRate?
As far as i know, it limits de fps to adapt to the refresh rate of your display. So you get 60fps…
Sounds like you on a windows machine?
VerticalSync is solution to Screen Tearing:
Next time tell what platform you’re on: Operating System, Architecture (32/64bit), video card model and which OF version. It sounds to me that you’re videocard drivers are bugged.
Actually I’m on Mac:
- 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- Mountain lion
- NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB,
- And i’m using v0.7.4 of openFrameworks
Is there anyway for me to prevent the fullscreen crash without using the ofSetVerticalSync(true); ?
Maybe i can activate the vertical sync when i toggle between full/window screen and then deactivate it?
I’ll test it later…
