I can’t find the project generator in the download to follow the video tutorial. Ideas?
It’s in the OF folder.
of_v0.9.8_vs_release \ projectGenerator-vs \ projectGenerator.exe
I looked in both the github down load and the android download for the site and I cant find it.
is there a link where I can download of_v0.9.8_vs_release this.
I am trying to port a program I have to a different platform.
What operating system do you use?
For Windows and Visual Studio you need to download this package and unzip it. There’s a project generator inside.
I guess I am confused I am on osx.
do I use that - can I make progrmas for android or rasberry pi using the osx version.
I found file but have an error message.
fix path I cant seem to figure out how to do this.
Here you have all versions:
If you are on osx, download a adequate .zip file, and there is a projectGenerator_osx inside.
Here you’ve got a guide:
If you want to develop something for ios, download this one
and here is a guide:
I guess I am not understanding - if you are developing for android - I have a program that works on a mac and I want to see if I can get it to work with android.
do I down load the osx version or the android version.
I am having a real hard time starting.
Maybe ask a new question about, how to start developing apps for Android on Mac… And then more people with better experience could lead you.
if you want to develop apps for Mac use the mac download from http://openframeworks.cc/versions/v0.9.8/of_v0.9.8_osx_release.zip
if you want to develop for android, it is OS agnostic, it only cares about the IDE you use, either eclipse or AndroidStudio.
The github download doesn´t have the projectgenerator built, which is a gitsubmodule, so you have to download it and build it, for which you need to install several other dependencies. Also the github download doesn’t have the needed libraries compiled so you’ll need to compile these by running some scripts.
