controlling a benQ projector over lan

Hi all

I’m looking into buying a benQ projector for a project. One that also has a lan connector. I know you can use that with their own, proprietary software. But I guess you should be able to send that information from a c++ application? I’ll do more research but thought I’ll ask first if anyone has ever tried this?

thx

I just stumbled upon this https://github.com/slugmobile/ofxPJControl Might do what I need…

some stuff was discussed here: http://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/looking-for-advice-for-a-permanent-installation/11007/0
also, original announcement of the addon: http://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/ofxpjcontrol-an-addon-to-turn-onoff-projectors/5017/0

also, some benq projectors apparently have PJLink compatibility: http://pjlink.jbmia.or.jp/english/list-2010.html

thanks. yes, it does. So turning on and off should work. I wonder though if I can also control the brightness and other paramteres…

according to the specfication, no: http://pjlink.jbmia.or.jp/english/data/PJLink%20Specifications100.pdf
power on/off, input source switch, video/audio mute. the rest are all queries.
