Compiling/archiving old openframeworks projects

#1

Hi everyone,

I’ve been archiving my old projects, and it seems like it’s not that straightforward to compile them in Xcode any more…

Anyone got any suggestions for best practice in terms of archiving old projects in a usable form?

Thanks!

Seb

you can use the makefiles on osx.

i did some work on a package manager, which should help to download and check out the specified commits of the dependent addons, in theory even after years. It is still a pre release, i guess that i wont change much until the first stable release. Hope that helps.

open the project generator, select the project that you want to update and press “update”, then “Open in IDE”. Try to compile the project. Normally a lot of errors coming from old project are just related to the switch to glm, so pretty easy to fix.
