Compiling and linking Gstreamer on Mavericks with gcc

Hello everybody,

I am trying to learn Gstreamer framework and I have downloaded Gstreamer universal and development SDK installers on http://docs.gstreamer.com/display/GstSDK/Installing+on+Mac+OS+X, but unfortunately, I could not compile either by gcc or xcode. I added the framework to the porject but had no luck.

I have compiled using gcc but I have a bunch of errors, which are given below:

Perhaps you should add the directory containing gstreamer-1.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'gstreamer-1.0' found clang: error: no such file or directory: 'helloworld.c' clang: error: no input files tilaks-macbook:Gstreamer tilakvarisetty$ gcc -Wall Basictutorial.c -o helloworld $(pkg-config --cflags --libs gstreamer-1.0) **Package gstreamer-1.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. I have tried to export to the path but does not work either.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tilak.

this works on osx: https://github.com/arturoc/ofxGStreamer you will need the latest version of the project generator from github: https://github.com/ofZach/projectGeneratorSimple I think it should work with 0.8 but to be sure i would use also the latest OF from master
