I am a beginner to openFrameworks, and am in the process of running compileOF.sh on my linux machine and I am noticing that it prints out a lot of information on the sreen making the screen clunky and making debugging really difficult if the script is not able to finish successfully. I am wondering if I could try to make the script better.
Anyone who has been here for a while, please let me know how I should go about it.
Hi, I guess the script could hide the compile info and only show the last few lines when it fails. it’s hard to know how many lines you would need to show though since the compiling happens in parallel so the error might be several lines above the end of the output. You could parse the output for errors using grep or similar and then only show lines where there seems to be an error.
In any case here’s the contribution guide: https://github.com/openframeworks/openFrameworks/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md
