Color displacement GLSL shaders - digital impressionism

I am looking to use shaders to create painting effect on animated content in a way similar to: from @zach

I am starting to get the effect working using a transparent image but with a video the visual get saturated quickly. I don’t find a way to clear the screen smoothly to keep the effect going.

you’ll need to be more descriptive about what you already have and then I might be able to help you out! I’ve done some work with optical flow and feedback using glsl shaders using oF.
