Chaotic Moon Labs has an immediate opening for a software developer generalist that must quickly code on a variety of platforms that aren’t traditionally mobile or even a platform. This is bespoke software development at its best, working where it wasn’t intended, designed, or even supported. Our ideal candidate loves working with and developing on bleeding edge beta technology, voiding warranties, and breaking EULAs. Additionally, you must be able to work on multiple projects at once, having a history of quick iterations and quality shipped code. This position will have the added benefit of working with a young, dynamic and highly experienced team in the flexible environment of a startup. Responsibilities will include all aspects of software development from design to coding and testing.

Minimal Qualifications:
4-5 Years of software development experience
Multi-touch and gesture based experiences including but not limited to Microsoft Kinect and Windows desktop software development
Experience integrating custom graphics
Creative Brainstorming
Client Relationship Innovation
Social Engineering
Willingness to travel
Industry agnostic: Retail, automotive, CPG, consumer electronics, entertainment, hospitality, defense, etc

Bonus points for:
Computer Vision (OpenCV) development
Experience with OpenGL and/or Cocos2d
Google Glass, Recon Instruments, or similar wearable development
Oculus Rift development
Consumer EEG development
AR development
Experience with iOS, Android, Unity development a plus
Experience with many web APIs
Experience with Robotics
Awarded or pending patents

Successful candidates will be highly motivated, self?driven and willing to work on?site in Austin. Must have the right to work in the USA. He or she will also have a strong desire to learn new technologies and be willing to go “all in” to achieve project and company goals.

This is initially a 3 month contract position, though we do intend on hiring a full-time position at the end of the year.
