box2d collisions: limitting contact listener


I got a problem with the collision detection of box2d.

I tried to implement the contact listener which was mentioned in a thread here but it crashes on me every time.
I use a webcam + contourfinder to create polygons in box2d. The normal contact listener listens for all kind of contacts and crashes all the time as soon as I create polygons. It seems to be that the polygons (that create the shapes from the counterfinder) collide with themselfs causing large amounts of contacts.

Is it somehow possible to only get the contacts between a circle and a polygon?
