Animating windows

Hi there,

I tried asking this question in the advanced forum, thinking this would be a advanced issue. Unfortunately, I haven’t got any help. So please excuse me for re-posting this question.

I am looking for some suggestions/tips on how to make a UI window more dynamic. By that I mean, say I want some user gesture to cause the window to flip or maybe a second window to animate a bit to draw user attention.

One direction that I can think of is to add some sort of tweening behavior to the windows itself rather than the content rendered inside the window. However I am not sure if this is the right path to try out. I am not sure if it is going to work in the first place.

While browsing the gallery section, I stumbled upon a piece by moka labeled “Creative Code - Multitouch Proof of Concept”

In the demo video, I see some behavior where the user flips the window and animates window maximizing etc. What I am trying to do is quite similar. However, there doesn’t seem to be any sample code to look at.

Does anyone have any advice?

Many thanks for your help.

Gracias

ofSetWindowPosition(), ofSetWindowShape() and ofToggleFullScreen() would be the first place to look at; then it’s just up to one’s own creativity.
