ofxCocoaPlugins Video Capture

I am working on a project where I need to grab video from two IIDC firewire cameras (using Imaging Source Cameras) and do some processing on them using openCV. I need to be able to control the camera features, gain, gamma, etc and I would also like to have a live preview. I found some code called ofxCocoaPlugins that seems to have all of this functionality built into it. I can get the program itself to run but I can't seem to figure out how to get the image capture part of the code to work properly and actually give me a video feed.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this code or knows of something else that can accomplish this task.
